Robert J. Sykes, Jr was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia in December 2003 at the age of 47. This rare form of Dementia is a brain disease that slowly erodes cognitive abilities and causes personality changes. He endured the disease for more than three years before succumbing on April 7, 2006. This story will provide support and inspiration to others who are coping with dementia and other irreversible illnesses.

Philadelphia Soul Game
5/18/2008 - Thanks to everyone who attended last night's Soul game (or another game throughout the season)! A great time was had by all, and the Soul won the game! We've sold 69 tickets and have raised over $600 between ticket sales and additional donations, which will be donated to the Association for Frontotemporal Dementia's Drug Discovery Program. The Philadelphia Soul football team to lend support to special "souls" affected by FTD
3/12/2008 - We're sponsoring a night with the Philadelphia Soul to benefit AFTD. We'd be honored to have you join us as we celebrate Bob's life and help raise funds to assist families living through FTD. The AFTD has recently provided the first grant for therapy research specifically for FTD. This is HUGE news!!! Let's help them support families...and find a cure! Marie & Michelle met with Patrick Murphy
3/9/2008 - Marie and Michelle, along with Catherine and Susan of the Association for Frontotemporal Dementias, met with Congressman Patrick Murphy to discuss ways to help people afflicted with Frontotemporal Dementia and their families.
