Robert J. Sykes, Jr was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia in December 2003 at the age of 47. This rare form of Dementia is a brain disease that slowly erodes cognitive abilities and causes personality changes. He endured the disease for more than three years before succumbing on April 7, 2006. This story will provide support and inspiration to others who are coping with dementia and other irreversible illnesses.

Added to ADEAR Center's Online Database!
6/24/2011 - We received word late last evening that An Evolution of Love has been reviewed and approved for addition by the Alzheimer’s Disease Education and Referral (ADEAR) Center, which is sponsored by the National Institute on Aging. The ADEAR Center website offers the general public (including family caregivers of persons with Frontotemporal Dementia) an online database of resources from various sources. An abstract is still being created, but in the meantime, you can check out the listing at
