Memory Walk 2008

AFTD Annual Board Meeting

6/29/2008 - Marie and Michelle were invtited to attend the Association for Frontotemporal Dementias first Annual Meeting in Baltimore, MD last week. It was wonderful to meet many of the Board Members as well as other caregivers. Thanks to Susan and Catherine from AFTD for inviting us!

Philadelphia Soul Game

5/18/2008 - Thanks to everyone who attended last night's Soul game (or another game throughout the season)! A great time was had by all, and the Soul won the game! We've sold 69 tickets and have raised over $600 between ticket sales and additional donations, which will be donated to the Association for Frontotemporal Dementia's Drug Discovery Program. Philadelphia Soul update

3/17/2008 - Guess what? You can still participate in the AFTD-Philadelphia Soul Fundraiser even if you are unable to make the May 17th game! You may purchase tickets for any game of the season and the Soul will still donate $8/ticket to AFTD!! Email info@anevolutionoflove.com for tickets.

The Philadelphia Soul football team to lend support to special "souls" affected by FTD

3/12/2008 - We're sponsoring a night with the Philadelphia Soul to benefit AFTD. We'd be honored to have you join us as we celebrate Bob's life and help raise funds to assist families living through FTD. The AFTD has recently provided the first grant for therapy research specifically for FTD. This is HUGE news!!! Let's help them support families...and find a cure! 3/9/2008 - Marie and Michelle, along with Catherine and Susan of the Association for Frontotemporal Dementias, met with Congressman Patrick Murphy to discuss ways to help people afflicted with Frontotemporal Dementia and their families. 2/15/2008 - Marie and Michelle have been invited to meet with Congressman Patrick Murphy to discuss ways that congress could support the Association for Frontotemporal Dementias (www.ftd-picks.org) in their mission. This will likely take place in early March!

1/23/2008 - Today, January 23rd, would have been Bob's 52nd birthday. We just want to thank everyone who has supported us through the writing of An Evolution of Love. It's been a wonderful experience and we look forward to what is yet to come.

An Evolution of Love is written straight from Marie's heart, and she has delivered an easy-to-read and engaging book that I highly recommend for those whose lives are touched by FTD, and for those interested in the resilience of a family.
